Travelling Band Screen
Raw water from rivers and sea inlets contains large floating objects, foreign material, and other foreign objects that must be filtered out. Since 1983, we have installed screening equipment for various applications, including power plants, water treatment plants and irrigation projects. These Screens can work automatically with differential level Controllers, which automatically start/stop the raking machine depending on the debris collected or even timer based.
We offer the following Travelling Band Screens.
Dual Flow Machines
Installed with submerged screening surfaces perpendicular to the intake flow, water screens collect and transport debris to the head enclosure, where water jets flush the refuse into a disposal trough.
It consists of a series of wire mesh screen baskets mounted on two endless strands of roller chain operating overhead and a foot sprocket. As water flows through, screened debris is collected in the basket. These are self-cleaning machines and help to improve the efficiency of the plant.

- These are self-cleaning machines and help improve the plant’s efficiency.
- Depending upon the requirement of the screen, a mesh can be made from a fine screen of 2 x 2 mm to 10 x 10 mm.
Specially Designed Baskets
This arrangement provides a larger screening area and maximum basket volume for debris collection and removal, maximizing system efficiency. Also, it has the inherent advantage of protecting living organisms that enter the intake area as it lifts them out with its special basket shape elements.

- Fully Automated machines with controllers for chain tension, head loss conditions, or alarm operation can be either timer or differential based. All components above the water level are covered by FRP covers, eliminating exposure to moving parts. Overload protection is provided for the motor to prevent damage due to overload.
